Starting from 13 May, 2008, based at the premises of the Institution of Advanced Training within St Petersburg State University of Ways of Communications, we have been conducting the respective courses for manages and specialists in charge of arranging and conducting vocational training for traffic service. The course was set up in conformity with telegram ref. No. CD-40/15 of 31.03.2008 by Mr A. Y. Mironov, of the Traffic Management Department of the Russian Rail Public Corporation, and the plan for adult training and refresher courses for managerial staff approved 17.03.2008 by Mr V. I. Yakunin, the President of the Russian Rail Public Corporation (clause 21.11).

The objective of the course:
To enable the audience to form a system of knowledge and skills required for making efficient decisions in the area of arranging the vocational training for personnel engaged in traffic service of the Russian Rail Public Corporation.

Programme of the course:
Shall help systematize the knowledge obtained based on the professional experience. The programme shall reflect the most state-of-the-art achievements of the international theory in the area of vocational training. It shall help expand the already existing team work skills and interpersonal attitudes’ skills. The programme is aimed at practical application (is shall help switch from information over to realistic strategies, find the best possible solutions in arranging and conducting the personnel vocational training).

The format of the courses:
Classes in lecture room to take place from 9:00 to 18:00 hours. Upon completion of the course, the trainees shall be granted a state standard advanced training certificate.

The advantages of the courses:
The objective of training highly qualified specialists to organize and conduct vocational training for the traffic service of the Russian Rail Public Corporation. The programme of the course is of particularly narrow trade-specific nature.

Practical profile of the training: familiarization with the basic concept of arranging the vocational training on the basis of innovation technologies is of a particularly application-specific rather than academic nature. Interactive nature of training: the form of education would provide for each trainee’s active participation in the education process. Experience exchange as well as team work are viewed as an essential element of training.

Requirements with regards to a candidate:
Higher education. Standing in traffic service of not less than 3 years. Readiness to comply with the curriculum requirements.

Matriculation procedure:
To fill in the application form, furnish a payment draft or a course payment warranty letter.

Upon completion of the courses, each trainee shall be given a set of training materials and software and data training packages.
