When using the "Distribution Station" training simulator, the trainees would manage the traffic of trains and shunting units around the distribution station’s yards under the pre-set business game scenario. This shall help exercise the managerial and control skills under regular conditions and in extraordinary situations.
The "‘Distribution Station" training simulator version so developed is intended for group training in a computer-aided class, with the distribution of roles as follows: shunting operation controller, yard master, switching foreman, sorting yard master, operator assisting the station duty officer.
The "Distribution Station" training simulator shall help:
- Simulate a train making-up and splitting operations;
- Carry out humping, train transposition;
- Obtain computer-aided data on the number of cars per track;
- Draw up/adjust distribution lists in conformity with the train make-up plan specified for a particular station in question, and marshalling tracks specialization, look through the freight trains’ consignor’s lists;
- Comply with parameters of locomotive depot capacity, number of bays, maintenance time and current stay of locomotives in the depot;
- Display various mimic diagrams for stations with adjustable parameters of track plans (of sequential, transverse and combined type).
The use of training simulators shall help switch from classical forms of material presentation over to modern, convenient, easy-to-operate personnel training systems.
